"Making Known the Words of Truth"

What is Aletheia Springs Christian Education Center?
Aletheia Springs, established in 1973, provides Christian young people with a biblical basis to help meet the challenges of our society.  Aletheia Springs gives Christian students an opportunity to grasp the relevancy of the Bible and learn how to apply the Bible to everyday life.  Aletheia Springs is an aid to parents and local churches.  The following two Scriptures describe the distinctiveness of Aletheia Springs:

That I might make thee know the certainty of the words of truth; that thou mightiest answer the words of truth to them that send unto thee.  Proverbs 22:21 (KJV)

But sanctify Christ as Lord in your hearts, always being ready to make a defense to everyone who asks you to give an account for the hope that is in you, yet with gentleness and reverence; and keep a good conscience so that in the thing in which you are slandered, those who revile your good behavior in Christ may be put to shame.  I Peter 3:15 & 16 (NASB)

The summer sessions of Aletheia Springs provide opportunity for serious Christians to study areas where the Bible and secular society most often come in conflict.  Only those who earnestly desire to know and act upon God's will for their lives should attend.  Those who show by their actions that learning is not their goal will only be a distraction to others and will be asked to return home.

What is the cost of attending the programs at Aletheia Springs?
Aletheia Springs operates exclusively in dependence upon the Lord.  No fees are assessed or solicited.  Those exercised to contribute financially are encouraged to do so in obedience to the leading of the Lord.  Aletheia Springs is a non-profit organization recognized by the IRS.

Summer 2011 Theme: "Escape from Laodicea"

(Becoming Red-Hot in a Lukewarm Age)

The Bible leaves us no doubt as to what will characterize the days just prior to the return of Christ for His bride, the Church. Note in particular Revelation 3:14-22. The Lord Jesus there describes Christendom in its last days as "neither hot nor cold" but nauseatingly "lukewarm." We further find in 2 Timothy 3:1-7 a graphic picture of the "last days. "Sadly, the Church today has taken on many of these distinctive. We cannot deny that many, even in evangelical churches, like the broader culture, are also "covetous" (love money) and "love pleasure more than God." We might add "unthankful" and "proud" to the list. This being so, we do well to "repent" and flee these revolting behavioral traits so that we might become "red-hot" in this Lukewarm age.

This summer we will address nine characteristics largely missing from the Church that are required to become truly set on fire for the Lord Jesus. Warning! This means going against the grain of much of modern evangelicalism, but, in the end will result in hearing "Well done, Thou good and faithful servant!"

The following are what we see largely missing in the Church today. This List presents the outline of our teaching this summer.

  • The fear of the Lord

  • Consuming love for God

  • Hatred for sin

  • Love of the Scriptures

  • The Lordship of Christ

  • Passion for souls

  • Love for the brethren

  • Effectual fervent prayer

  • Godliness with contentment

It is our firm conviction that when Christians become characterized by the above distinguishing features, they will “escape Laodicea" and ignite with a burning passion, bringing pleasure to the Lord Jesus Christ. We wil1 be praying to this end for all whom the Lord sends our way this summer.

Aletheia Springs Doctrinal Statement:

We believe in the verbal plenary inspiration of the Bible, its reliability and validity in all that it affirms, including: the deity of Christ, a literal special creation of the world and man for the glory of God, the fall of man resulting in his total depravity and the need for salvation by grace through faith, the personal pre-millennial return of our Lord Jesus Christ for all true believers and the physical resurrection of the dead either to eternal bliss or eternal damnation.
